This site has several distinct functions.

1 The book

Firstly, it is to introduce my book Fighting Cancer - A Survival Guide - a book I researched and wrote to answer for myself the question: what will I do if/when I get cancer. However, I cannot know what you would do if you got cancer - so I have not written a book selling a particular course of action. Instead the book provides a critical summary of all aspects of cancer. It was written to provide a summary of the total context of cancer so that readers can then work with the information to decide for themselves what they wish to do.

For a fuller discussion of the book, click here.

For a summary of the book and details of how to buy it, click here.

2 The mailing list

Secondly, having this site also allows me to discuss further thoughts or new perceptions (or indeed new information) I might have. These postings will appear in my New Stuff page.To receive this new information as and when I have something to say - usually once or twice a month - then add your email address to my mailing list (this is for my own use only - it will not be given or sold on to any third party) click here.

3 Sharing of ideas and experiences

Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, this website is a place where ideas and experiences can be shared - in an informal way - but more permanently than on a chatline. There is no official line - though the book and the site are strongly supportive of alternative treatments. But if you wish to express a contrary view I am prepared to consider giving you room. The only rule is that contributors must be talking from personal knowledge or personal experience.

Do please browse around the site, and if you have something you would like to share please send me an email. Make sure the subject line is clearly marked - e.g Re: Your Cancer Site - so that I don't delete it as junk mail (I get a lot of junk mail!).
