Cancer treatment centres and clinics

Some of these are centres for complementary or alternative medicine, others are orthodox doctors who take a thoughtful, unothodox approach when treating people with cancer.

Dr Chris Teo's Centre (CA Care)

Dr Chris Teo is a retired Professor of Botany who has set up CA Care, a cancer advisory and herbal treatment centre for people with cancer in Malaysia. As Malaysia is a hot house for herbs and herbal knowledge this is a very welcome development. (many so-called Chinese medications such as tiger balm are actually of Malaysian origin. Au Boon Haw, the developer of Tiger Balm was a Malaysian tin mining tycoon!). Dr Teo has written a number of books containing case histories of the success of his treatments. For further information go to his website.

Tumour regression during physiotherapy

Dr GORGUN is an Italian doctor who works in Turkey in association with a physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic. Here he has found that a number of cancer patients have shown tumour regression during physiotherapy for other conditions. Dr Gorgun published the results (Temple University, Frontier Perspectives. ISSN: 1062-4767, Vol: 7, Num: 2, 1998. USA). You can email Dr Gorgun, phone him on 0090-532-2025007 or fax on 0090-216-3522919 (Phone number valid with local time between 13.00 to 22.00 hours - Turkish time!).

The Texas Cancer Center

An American clinic that isn't gung ho about radical surgery, the Texas Cancer Center provides thoughtful and conservative orthodox treatment options. For a limited time, you can also download Dr Richard Evans' book The Cancer Breakthrough You've Never Heard Of from this site.

Anthroposophical Medicine

More than 1,000 doctors in Europe follow the medical principles developed by Rudolph Steiner ( a follower of Goethe) known as Anthroposophical approach (literally the wisdom of the human body). This approach is very firmly based on herbal and supplement support. A recent article in the British press quoted the case of Mrs Pam Evans, 54, who had breast cancer. She refused chemotherapy and instead had mistletoe injections (iscador) directly into the tumour. The tumour disappeared and lymph nodes cleared. The injections were supplemented by a rigid vegan diet, vitamins, acupuncture and
relaxation techniques. Mrs Evans said: "I don't think you should rely on any one alternative therapy. You should do a package that addresses the whole body".
