Message from Jonathan for Bill F from Michigan Pau d'arco and other things: a conversation Brett Burner's recommendations
Message from Jonathan for Bill F from Michigan Bill wrote to me because he is concerned about a friend who has bad skin lesions, and doesn't want to seek treatment. I've tried to reply but my email was bounced back. I can't publish his letter, as I haven't got his permission, but this is my response. Dear Bill I did try to reply to you personally but my email was bounced back. So sorry, this is the best I can do for now. Let's assume the worst as you as presumably your friend is doing - though she is doing her best to deny it. No point in spending money going to see a doctor who will simply confirm this and either tell her it is 'terminal' - or alternatively seek to get her to undertake painful, debilitating and ultimately useless treatment. Much better to take a different tack. Since the lesions are on the surface of the skin I would suggest the following strategy: 1. bathe the skin in castor oil - keep a pad soaked in castor oil against the lesions. 2. get her to take lots of flaxseed oil mixed with cottage cheese. Doesn't taste too good but it comes with great supporting evidence. 3. ESSIAC tea: drink regularly. 4. would she change her diet? If so go for fresh organic fruit and vegetables and some oily sea fish 5. Cut out non-organic meats and dairy (stuffed full of hormones) 6. Get a good quality vitamin C (capsules not tablets or highly coloured junk) - read my vitamin C page at www.fightingcancer.com for details. Now two off-the-wall suggestions. 1. would she be prepared to drink her own urine? My guess is probably not but it does come recommended: (and it is free!). Some suggest it works as a bio-feedback mechanism: the body reads messages in the urine that helps it correct itself. 2. Take a holiday to Malaysia and visit a Chinese herbalist called Dr Teo (He's a retired Professor (in the British sense) of Botany - not a medical doctor). His website is at www.cacare.com Finally, a word on relationship matters. You cannot do anything for your friend's medical condition - only she can do that. If she chooses not to do anything that is entirely her choice, difficult though it is for those around her to accept it. There are cases where such denial may be life extending. It may be that if you can discuss the options outlined here which are inexpensive (generally) she may develop an interest - or she may not. Sadly there is no magic wand that can make everyone do the right thing. good luck Jonathan
Colleen Have you heard of:a company called Noble Research in Nevada? An herbalist here in the Black Hills of South Dakota, gave my partner a piece of paper and had him put a drop of blood and a drop of spit on it, FAXED it to the company, and the next day had a read out of 5 different kinds of cancer, with the numbers that describe how far along it is. This company also makes a machine that delivers different electrical frequencies by having some patches attached to the abdomen. 48 hours supposedly kills all the cancer >cells. I think it might be some kind of Rife machine, but I thought I would ask. My partner barely believed in herbs, and when the herbalist did this, he pretty much pushed him over the edge. He quit taking the herbs that he needed before, and went to see a medical doctor for a physical. While waiting for the results, I found your web site and thanks!!! Thanks for your answer. Jonathan I agree that it sounds loony - certainly I don't accept the validity of that kind of electrical equipment or of any kind of analysis based on faxed pictures of blood and sputum. Even Rife did not believe he could 'kill cancer in 48 hours' - however, your partner is equally illogical in refusing herbs that might help (but you don't say what herbs he was taking - maybe they really wouldn't help). All I know is that with cancer, the orthodox route holds out very little hope for the majority of cancers - and sometimes even when it does hold out hope the damage it causes is profound (chemotherapy is effective against childhood leukenias but it also retards them and causes various forms of brain damage - very few people comment on this sadly). I therefore don't necessarily have to believe something before I try it. I accept that the world is a wonderful place and very often beyond my comprehension. If a treatment is not outrageously expensive and if it doesn't seem to be damaging then I might try it out. Take the cure in 48 hours that you mention. I might try it out simply as an experiment - if it's not too expensive! I call this the risk- benefit analysis. What's the risk (low?) what's the potential benefit (high?) - I'd go for it but not on its own. A classic of this type of analysis is to drink one's own urine. This sounds a really yucky thing to do for most people and it can really turn a lot of people off the other ideas that I might promote so in general I don't mention it to people. But if we analyse it: the cost is zero, the risk is zero (Many elderly Indian and Japanese have been doing this for decades without any negative impact on their health.A little known fact is that urine is clean, it can be used as an anti-bacterial agent) - the potential benefit is high (people claim that it helps prolong health and can help cure cancer - for reasons see my book). So, if I had cancer I would certainly do it even though I have no scientific proof that it works and despite the fact that my orthodox doctor is very likely to be dismissive of it. I would also do Vitamin C, Essiac, flaxseed oil, pau d'arco herbal tea (but only from the source mentioned by Mr Rapley (see below) almonds and a fruit and vegetable diet. Also a liver and colon detox.- and maybe one or two other things like ionic silver with fulvic acid. Exercise, meditation, visualisation and the odd visit to a spiritual healer! Why not? Good luck. Colleen Thanks for your help. The herbalist was recommending and selling Natures Sunshine herbs, and a lot of them to detoxify my friend's body. It might have been too much too fast. He claims he has cured 5 terminal cases of cancer last year, and that was before he had this new test. I do not doubt him or his method, I just wondered about the new machine and the company who can figure this out by fax. They do not show up and any web searches. The machines cost $2500. and my guy rents his for $70. a day. Not bad if you only need it for 2 days. He knows you need to get the stuff out and he recommended coffee enemas and makes his own ozone water in the office. Kind of a cowboy and an intuitive. Jonathan Yep. Do it for two days. Why not? In any case, In the case of his own machine, Rife warned against the potential for toxin overload. I would do it for one day then drink lots of water for 3 days then do another day. Do it like that for a couple of weeks (at 2 times a week). Certainly Dr Hulda Clark has a zapper that claims some success - along with her mixture of cloves, wormwood and black walnut. Wormwood on its own has independent value according to some research I read about recently. Good luck.
Pau d'arco and other things: a conversation Paul Rapley and I had an interesting email exchange ... Paul Hi, thanks for the page... very informative, a couple of things you might want to look into. A guy out in California sells pau-d-arco tea and cured himself of cancer with it. PAU-D'ARCO TEA. He has 21 documented stories. I have been taking for almost two months and have seen slow steady improvement. (Diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin's disease and am not doing chemo) I also have heard a tape by Dr. Lee Ritter who claims that aloe is the cure for cancer... not all aloe but only like less than one percent of the ones on the market are strong enough... I am sure if you went to a search engine you would find some interesting things. You might also want to further emphasize the importance of a 7 day colon cleanse w/liver cleanse That seems to be one of the big reasons Anne Frahm got well so fast from stage 4 cancer Other things that might be of interest to look into would be cryoablation (Doctor's Guide and the University of Mississippi Medical Centre Dr Patrick Sewell of the University of Mississippi is the leader of this new very effective procedure. The key seems to be the mri imaging which allows the doctor to see inside the body what is going on. I know you can find a lot more studies about it on the Internet if you searched. Oh, and finally I have heard incredible things about Young Living and Essential Oils. Thanks again for the web page, hopefully some of what I said might be useful to you. Jonathan I have heard that one problem with Pau d'arco may be consistent quality of the product - any comments on that? How do you measure progress with Hodgkins? Paul That is also what the guy who has the pau-d-arco website says... taking it in pill form does nothing and the extract isn't the cure all either. If you read his testimony on there, he started researching pau-d-arco 10 years ago (and is now about the most knowledgable on it in the world), however he was drinking just the extract and not the tea during all of that time. About 2 years ago, he got skin cancer drank the tea and two months later he was in remission. Kinda ironic that the guy who is proving the cure gets cancer, because he isn't taking the cure! Now he drinks the tea and the extract. He says that his tea is one of the only ones that is strong enough... I just thought he was trying to make money so he wants people to buy from him, but when I got my one pound free sample (given to all cancer fighters free if living in the US), I could tell a VERY big difference between that pau-d-arco and the stuff my mom had bought at the health food store. It was so much darker, and the smell was much stronger (it tastes quite strong too!). So I would venture to say buy from him. I started taking it at the beginning of March and now two months later have noticed slow steady improvement... he claims I should expect full remission within four months of when I started taking it as long as I never take a day off, and make sure to let it simmer AT LEAST 10 minutes. It is quite inexpensive. I have been measuring progress with ct scans. A little about me. I was diagnosed on Dec. 28 of '01 and have done nothing w/ slash, poisen, or burn (traditional therapies), even though they do work pretty well w/ Hodgkin's. My first ct scan was in the beginning of Jan. and showed I had a baseball sized tumor in my chest as well as lots of nodes on the sides of my neck (which I can feel). I did another ct scan 2 months later at the end of Feb. and nothing had spread or grown and it had shrunk a tiny bit. Praise God! At that point I was basically only doing juicing and avoiding the bad things (dairy, sugar, white flours, meat that wasn't organic, etc.). Since then I have started a lot more including my colon cleanse that I am now on day 5 of (I got rid of a huge colon rope this morning, and I am only 21 and am 6'1 160 pounds... I guess I didn't realize I had that in me.). And just got my first few bags of apricot seeds. I also started pau-d-arco two months ago, haven't gotten a chance to look into aloe yet, just heard good things. I also have been doing essiac for a long time, and a few other things you mentioned I had been doing. I have not gone back in for ct scans (they are not particularly wonderful for a person), but can feel a steady decrease in their size (faster now because of the cleanse). Let me know if you are interested in hearing about the rest of my cleanse and how everything ends up. Thanks again for the site. Jonathan Many thanks for the detail. I think people would like to hear in detail about the colon cleanse - where to go and get one, what it consists of etc.- and I personally would like to know where you are getting your apricot seeds because the only source I knew of got raided by the FDA - where do you live by the way and how is it you've decided not to go the chemo route? Paul Much thanks on the article. Oh, here is a gallblader/liver cleanse anyone can do at anytime. 4 hours before bed... drink a tall glass of water w/ 1 tablespoon of epsom salts. 2 hours repeat (oh, and if you can't stand the taste add lemon juice and stevia to make a funky tasting lemonade). At bedtime drink 1/2 cup of olive oil with 1/2 cup of lemon juice IMMEDIATELY AFTER LIE ON RIGHT SIDE IN FETAL POSITION (crucial)... don't go brush your teeth or anything. If you fall asleep that way good. If not lie that way for no less than 20 minutes. Upon waking up drink the epsom salts water right away, and then again two hours later (it keeps the bial duct open). Stay at home... you will be running to the bathroom and passing gallstones all day long. It does not hurt at all, you will just see green things that look like peas floating in your toilet. Oh, and this isn't for someone that has huge gallstone problems... they might need surgery. I am 21 and passed at least 50 stones and my mom, who is in her 50s, past hundreds of them. Isn't sickness just our liver being overwhelmed? Cleanse it (rather than throw drugs in that hurt our immune system) and we give our body a fighting chance! Annette Lynch recommends this site for its clear instruction and diagrams for Qigong practices. She says, 'This is a good site for anyone interested in using Qigong as a healing practice. The practices are suitable for anyone, whatever mobility and are easy to learn.' Brett Burner's recommendations Brett E Burner has been researching alternative treatments since his mother's death from cancer in the early 1970s. In his emails to me he has made many suggestions, and he's given me permission to post an edited version of his material here. Beginning with my mother's cancer, since my interest in the early 70s was in biofeedback, the psychophysiological approaches appealed to me. (I suggested antineoplastons, and got the response kit, but Texas was costly and remote.) I set up a small biofeedback lab to try to enhance immune system functioning à la Simonton. When I heard Dr Simonton speak, he emphasized laughter and exercise. He said he would always start his CA patients on exercise if they could only lift a hand. Go to the SuperSlow site for the best exercise stuff. (I subsequently met Simonton and hand delivered my revision of the feedback loop in Getting Well Again.) Anyway, I've been collecting since then. I've been in e-mail touch with former RAF Commander Geoffrey J. Sherman whose current interest is spreading the word about cancer cures. At his own expense, he sends information to inquirers about B-17, etc. Check Credence Publications, UK for:
Note: The FDA and UK equivalents are trying hard to shut down the availability of B-17. There are US and UK sites for seeds and books that are getting harassed, shut down, etc. The iron triangle of government/FDA-medicine/AMA-pharmaceutical industry is a multi-trillion dollar industry. Drug money funds all the med schools, while FDA and drug execs run a revolving door, interlocking directorate. Anything that interferes is fair game for extermination. Alt med was getting nowhere until the Internet. Now it's a lot harder to suppress good results, etc., but make no mistake anybody getting into this is painting a big bullseye on their chest. Microhydrin is the most powerful antioxidant conceivable. Unfortunately, the inventor has licensed it solely through an MLM outfit. It increases the uptake of all other nutri-ceuticals, etc. Catch one of the many sites http://www.royal-health.com. I've heard many of their tapes. Seems like a very, very crucial base for any health enhancing routine. I subscribe to a number of alt med newsletters by various MDs. I recommend: Health

M. Whitaker, MD I used to help proofread and e-mail, alt. med. newsletter originated by Dr Brooks of the Alternative Research Foundation. He did a good, albeit informal, Human Growth Hormone study. He's got a good alternative to bogus HGH. Finally … Life Extension Foundation has the best multi nutrient supplement, the best website, and a book called Disease Prevention and Treatment Protocols with huge sections on CA alt. treatments. See their anti-FDA section. They interact much more with conventional medicine. Life Enhancement has some exclusive products that are worth reading about, DNAble, AGEless, etc. Letter from Sharon S. Cocanour: Navaho Indians and Cancer While scanning your reviews of cancer books, I was stunned to see a book based on the premise that Navaho Indians rarely get cancer. (Cancerproof Your Body by Ross Horne) While on a recent trip to Logan, Utah, I picked up an obscure book in a used bookstore entitled, `Their Secrets: Why the Navaho Indians Never Get Cancer', written by a medical doc, DeLamar Gibbons M.D., who tended some 5000 Navahos for more than 30 years in San Juan County Utah! In all that time, only one of his patients developed cancer (prostate), and that was a man who violated the chicken "taboos". Essentially, the Navahos don't (or at least didn't, as this book is now ten years old) consume chicken, eggs or milk...the author goes into impressive scientific detail about how these items transmit cancer viruses to humans... another factor he cites is the fact that the Navaho have a much less intimate relationship with their pets than we do, meaning they don't allow them indoors or allow them so physically close. Basically, the idea is that chicken/eggs/fresh milk can and DO transmit cancer viruses to humans... most chickens have cancer before they are slaughtered/ die, even the young birds. And the viral component in eggs isn't destroyed unless cooked at high temps, such as when hard-boiled. (The man who got the cancer kept, and ate, eggs and chickens.) Dr. Gibbons felt the Navaho's didn't really connect these practices with their low-incidence of cancer, it was just the result of their particular cultural traditions. Sorry this is so jumbled and that I'm can't give you a more concise summation of the book. I've only just skimmed the surface, but instinctively felt that I was really onto something, so you can see why I'm anxious to share it immediately with you! Dr. Gibbons cites
an impressive list of credible, scientific references to support these
theories, by the way, on both avian and bovine viral disease and their
transmission to humans. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT..... Thanks for the
great website; it is so needed!
